At the Mifflin County Youth Fair, we pride ourselves in having something for everyone. We kick off our week with the Fair Queen contest and Open Rabbit show on Saturday. Monday experiences the thrills and squeals of the swine show before attending the Opening Ceremonies held in the Green Building. There you will hear from local government officials, royalty and most importantly find out who is taking home the coveted Junior Friend of Fair, and Friend of Fair award. Monday rounds out with the Celebrity Milking Contest and Remington Ryde. Tuesdays thrills include the Dairy Feeder Show, Lamb Show, Chain Saw Carving and Chris Strait from 6-9 on the stage. Bring your Cash because the Cash to carry Baked Good Auction is at 6 PM in the green building. Looking to get your little kids involved? Tuesday also boasts the Kiddy Tractor Pull! Wednesday’s mid-week excitement include the Beef Show, Giant Ice Cream Sundae and Valveeta! New on Thursday we will have the Dog Rally Competition. Friday is Children’s Day featuring story time, animal costume contests and face painting! Rounding out the week on Saturday at our 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale kicks off at 9 AM. At 6 PM the fun moves to the Green Building for the Open Show Auction before the thrills and spills of the Rodeo, that starts at 7.
